SOL is back up
April 21, 2008 9:01 am StoriesonlineStoriesonline.net went down at 4:00 am EDT for reason still unknown.
I am still investigating the issue. Your patience is appreciated.
UPDATE 11:30am: As it turned out, we got hardware failure in more than one server. We need to replace few servers. This will take a while folks.
UPDATE 2:30pm: We managed to get the site back up on minimal capacity at 1:00 pm EDT.
Not everything is running as it should, so the site could be slower than usual. To bring everything back to normal we’ll need to do a maintenance run. That will happen sometime this week when I get replacement servers. I’ll make an announcement on the site about when to expect this to happen.
Sorry for the inconvenience.

Lazeea, as far as the site go’s your doing a great job so far. and the scoring is not that hard to deal with but it does get confusing at times.
Now as too the stories that are posted there.
A story that is submited should be posted even if it doesn’t have a sexual plot. If it is worth reading it should be read. I’ve read some real STELLR stories on the site and have followed them for years.
Some have not been finished due to an author dying or giving up on their writing because someone thought to give a nagitive critique.
Take the warlord for expample here is a man that has talent an hasn’t posted in years. that is a shame, then, we get to the ones that dyed. the authors of those stories should be thanked in some way for the hard work, even if they are dead.
Something like a dead authors blog. or have some one ghost write their stories to finish them.
I know quit a few that gave every thing they could, even to the end. that is (a hero of/in lititure) in my book. knowing that they only wanted to give the joy of reading an idea to someone that they thought someone would enjoy reading it.
I have been a ferm beliver that an author that gives you his/ her thoughts should be thanked. no matter how bad/ good/ or indefferant. It’s the thought that counts I for one would like to thanks every one that submits a story. THANK one and all.
keep the great effords.
Thanks again for the chance to tell you how I feel about your great work with the site, and your effords in giving us fans of reading a chance to read the writing’s of authors that want to have their stroies posted.
Thanks again…

Oh, and if you have time, once you know what caused it and have an ETA on fixing it, could you post that as well?

I was online here in Seattle around 2ish checking the updates page and got page one but when I tried for page 2 I got your “sorry our database is busy try in 5 mins page.” Tried twice in 5 mins and got same sorry page. After that any connection fubared completely. Two servers at the same time???? What kinda syncronisity/odds is that? Gee maybe that fiberoptic crash/break time-delay-hurt your system! Any other business servers in the neighborhood acting hinky? Your friendly conspiracy nut.
